Father and daughter are novices.
They’ve found a way to make this game theirs.
As they play, they not only banter
About the given round they’re playing
And the nature of the game itself,
But also how to tweak the platform,
How to fuse games, create a new game,
One not yet in existence, for which
There are no standards or experts yet.
All afternoon, as snow and rain waltz
Past the glass in alternating squalls,
They take their turns and rattle their dice
And discuss—what if we changed this rule?
Would adding a step here make it fun
Or waste too much time? The game goes on.
