Think of sameness and change,
The two as one child growing,
With the continuity of sameness

Evident in the persistence of traits,
But the emergence of change being
The new child, new person at every stage.

Then what you’ll notice is that sameness,
For all its continuity, is mostly
Particulate, enumerably discrete,

While change, for all the disruption,
Is continuous as all and any waves.
The point remains. Discovery races away.
