Surprise

It’s working. And it’s insane!
Gushed the thrilled astronomer
Of the latest telescope.

Sitting up in bed to watch
Another morning, you think
About Earth spinning, smoothly,

Without the smallest stumble,
Always another morning.
It’s working, and it’s insane.
