The real privilege would be
To steer clear of privilege.
Anyone’s rights, after all,
And all their privileges
Likewise, are just agreements
Shifting among other souls,
Other human animals
Debating and deciding,
Forcefully exercising
Privilege, each over each,
While pretending some are rights,
Pretending they know what’s right,
Although privilege stays caught
As law and society
In the balance of power.
If you could get out of that,
Be forgotten by all that
And still manage to survive,
Utter nobody living
By some wayside, just watching
Clouds, that would be privilege.
