Sits out on a chair
Made by other apes
Earning their wages
In buildings designed
And then constructed
By various apes
Earning their wages,
Borrowing from banks
Run by other apes
Running the system
And gaming the games
Invented by apes,
Who strongly dislike
Thinking of themselves
At all, ever, as
Kinds of ape, and cranes
Its globular skull
Full of big ape brains
Balanced on its thin
Stack of vertebrae
To peer at the night,
Which is not an ape,
Nothing like an ape,
Which baffles an ape.
