Of infinitesimal
Better worlds of real goodness
Lies in the ability
To think such worlds could exist.
Not, that is, to imagine,
Since imagination can
Only collage what is known,
But to assert, to propose
That, although life’s as it is,
And no one knows otherwise,
There’s no absolute reason
Why there might not be a world
Without slingshots, so to speak,
A deathless situation
Free of misery. Don’t preach
As if you knew where it is
Or how to get there. Heavens
Promised to believers hurt
More than any threats of hells.
Just open that small window
In your thoughts for another
Existence other than this,
Nothing alike these physics.
