Entrepreneur, when dark night
Has descended, deal with it

The dark night way. Do you know
What actions that would entail,
Exactly? Does anyone,

Even the entrepreneur?
Probably not. Somehow, thoughts
Return to the boundary

When the Cretaceous became
The Paleogene, that old
Beginning, mostly flightless

Birds by day, mostly tiny
Mammals by night, descending,
Dealing in the dark night way.

A huge, center tranche of beasts
Hacked out of ecosystems
Worldwide, and yet hummingbirds

And blue whales were on their way,
Still here yet, since ancestors
Dealt with it the dark night way.
