Whereas, if you have a criminal soul,
You instinctively expect that you’ll be
Pursued simply since ill will is presumed
In you. They’re coming for your fluttering
Criminal soul, not anything you’ve done.
In that case, better just to wait for them,
Let them discover for themselves.
