Faced death serenely.
No atheist could
Possibly be calm
Contemplating hell
Or absolute void.
Probably, that night,
Samuel Johnson
Planned to get some sleep,
Another visit
To relative void,
And in the morning
Expressed annoyance
If he’d been disturbed.
