It’s not that words can’t say what
You want us to say for you
When you’re going on about
Being beyond words, beyond
Language, which you can only
Say you’re beyond in language,
When you’re going on about
Transcending mere words, language,
Which you don’t have to transcend
At all, after all, having
Been born before you had words
And perfectly capable
Of breathing beyond language
With a good whack on the head.
It’s the language that’s longing
To somehow get beyond words,
Somehow get beyond language,
Somehow manage transcendence
Past being only language
Percolating through bone shells,
Thus get beyond you as well.
